Tum na jane

Tum na jane is a classic Bollywood song that became the starting point for a new musical approach.

This version was created as a tribute to legendary Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar, bringing the emotional character of the original song into a completely different sonic world.

In collaboration with singer Suhaib Ehsan and the Cologne Guitar Quartet, I created a new arrangement built around four guitars and voice.

I wanted to expand the quartet's sound by incorporating double bass and using the guitarists' voices as a choir.

The aim was not to recreate the original arrangement, but to take the song somewhere new: preserving its melody and emotional character while building a contemporary aesthetic around it.

The accompanying video was filmed on the streets of Cologne, bringing an old Bollywood song into the city where this new version was created.
